The Education Funding Agency is the Department’s delivery agency for funding and compliance.

We provide revenue and capital funding for education for learners between the ages of 3 and 19, or the ages of 3 and 25 for those with learning difficulties and disabilities. We also support the delivery of building and maintenance programmes for schools, academies, Free Schools and sixth-form colleges.

We are the first port of call for queries from open academies, and carry out a number of compliance and assurance activities on behalf of the Secretary of State, including monitoring funding agreements and admission appeals.

We are implementing funding reform for pre- and post-16 education for 2013-14.

You can keep up to date with our work through our fortnightly EFA e-bulletins.

We want to be easy to do business with, and we want you to be clear about the experience and the level of service you can expect from us. Our customer charter sets out the standards we work to.
