The honours system recognises outstanding service. This section contains information about the system, including how to nominate someone, as well as lists of award recipients from across the Department’s sphere of responsibility, in the two most recent honours lists.
We would be very interested in receiving nominations for ordinary people doing extraordinary things, particularly school teachers and people working with children, young people and families. We want to reflect the diversity of today's society and you can help us do this by giving careful thought to possible women and minority ethnic candidates, as well as other groups such as people with disabilities.
