Accountability system statement for education and children’s services

The Permanent Secretary of the Department for Education in his role of Accounting Officer is accountable to Parliament for the proper use of the resources allocated to the Department.

The Accounting Officer Accountability System Statement describes the core systems for education and children’s services, particularly on issues such as financial management and accountability.  It has been agreed by Chris Wormald, the Accounting Officer and Permanent Secretary of the Department for Education.
