Academy briefing sessions in October

To give you comprehensive information about these issues and others we have organised briefing sessions across the country open to all academies and sponsors.

Who are the sessions for?

The sessions are suitable for business managers, principals/headteachers, sponsors or the person who leads on funding matters in your academy. We have made allowances for up to two people from each academy to attend.

In addition, we would strongly encourage academies with a sixth form to send a representative to the specific post-16 funding events which the EFA will be running from mid-October onwards which will have a more detailed, technical focus.

What will the academies briefing sessions cover?

The half-day event, which will run twice on each day, will cover the following topics:

  • the key aspects of the 13/14 Funding Reform;
  • calculating academy allocations;
  • a high-level summary of fund for High Needs Pupils’, and
  • a high-level summary of post 16 reform.

Academies will also have the opportunity to speak with a representative of the EFA to ask any questions that are specific to your school.
