When the project is nearing completion, it is all too easy to run out of steam.
Wrapping it up make sure that:
- the customer is content that all elements of the work are satisfactorily delivered, and has signed off the Project Closure report
- the mechanisms for the longer term evaluation of the work are in place and that you've set up a mechanism for handling feedback. This should be defined in the terms of reference of your Post Implementation Review
- any work to be carried on in an operational environment is well defined, has a clearly defined 'owner' and all Residual Issues are wrapped up ready for hand over.
- you think about, and record, any lessons that you have learnt in the process of this work.
