Creative Media Services (CMS)

On 4 July 2011 the Department for Education launched a new Creative Media Services (CMS) framework with Creative Choice.

The CMS framework is available until July 2014 and is open to all government departments and agencies and the wider public sector (including schools).

A range of creative media services can be procured through the framework including:

  • PR
  • conference, exhibition and event management
  • branding and design
  • photography
  • writing
  • editorial services
  • video/film production
  • creative design
  • digital services and web design.

Creative Choice offers a managed service on behalf of clients using a second tier of small and medium-size enterprise suppliers. Suppliers who are interested in registering as a second-tier supplier should contact Creative Choice, details are available on the right-hand side of this document.

Publishing and Delivery Service (PDS) 

This contract, led by Prolog and supported by Communisis, offers a managed service to the wider public sector, including schools, which supports all aspects of:

  • publications
  • online and hard-copy print (including special formats, business stationery and promotional items)
  • translations
  • simple design, templating and typesetting
  • delivery & storage
  • mailing (via hard copy and e-channels, distribution)
  • duplication of audio CD/DVD/cassettes
  • fulfilment
  • web services
  • Digital Asset Management (DAM)
  • SMS text messaging

A fully-managed second tier of suppliers removes the need for clients to complete mini tenders. The contract is available until May 2015.
