This list shows if Academy Orders have been granted and funding agreements have been signed and will be updated regularly.
Those schools approved by the Secretary of State will have Academy Orders issued, releasing funding for the schools to fully work up their proposals.
Once agreement has been reached on all necessary matters then a funding agreement will be signed, which will specify the date when the conversion into an academy will happen. A school may withdraw its application at any point until the funding agreement is confirmed.
We will publish full details of schools that are converting to academies once their funding agreements have been signed, and these funding agreements will be made available on the academies website. Schools can open as academies throughout the academic year, not just in September.
