The early education and childcare workforce co-production group (EECWG) is a sub-group of the wider foundation years co-production steering group. The Chair is Bernadette Duffy - Head of the Thomas Coram Centre.
The co-production process has been established to help the Government to facilitate working with partners and other stakeholders to find solutions to the challenges faced by the sector.
Working with the Department, the purpose of the EECWG is to implement the long-term vision for ensuring the quality and diversity of the early education and childcare workforce. The group’s work and discussions are set in the context of the Government’s policy statement – Supporting Families in the Foundation Years, which sets out the Government’s vision and identifies ways that by working together, the Government, commissioners and the workforce can deliver this vision.
