Purnima is the Chief Executive of the National Day Nurseries Association. She represents members with Government, politicians and local authorities, as well as sharing the views of nurseries in the media. Since joining NDNA, she has focused on developing the charity’s infrastructure to support and represent the membership across the UK. She was instrumental in the development of NDNA’s National Early Years Enterprise Centre.
She has a wealth of experience at senior executive level working with public, private and charitable organisations. In September 2009 she was awarded the Voluntary & Charity Sector award at the Institute of Directors (IoD) Director of the Year awards. Purnima was also 'highly commended' in the 2010 Director of the Years and recently awarded an OBE.
