The Adoption Register for England and Wales is helping to cut down on unnecessary delay in adoptions by matching children needing new families with people waiting to adopt. Its main purpose is to find adoptive homes for those children for whom local authorities cannot find a home locally.
The Adoption Register for England and Wales has been operated by the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) on behalf of the Department for Education and the Welsh Assembly Government since 1 December 2004.
Visit the Adoption Register for England and Wales website for more information.
