This section contains advice for carers, their supervisors and providers on the Training, Support and Development (TSD) standards. You will find support and guidance in the form of case studies, questions and answers, and general information. The TSD standards set out what all foster carers need to know or be able to do within 12 or 18 months of being approved as a foster carer. The standards are a national minimum benchmark used by Ofsted, who take them into account in the inspection of fostering services.
