	Aiming High for Disabled Children (AHDC) aims to make improvements to the provision of disabled children&amp;#39;s equipment across social care, health and education and to understand the unmet need.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

	Models and options for children&amp;#39;s equipment and related services: CSED consultant&amp;#39;s report&lt;/h1&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	The Department of Health and&amp;nbsp;the Department&amp;nbsp;commissioned a review of the existing arrangements for the delivery of children&amp;rsquo;s community equipment and related services. On 3 February 2010, the Department of Health published an independent consultant&amp;rsquo;s report which notes that the commissioning and provision of children&amp;rsquo;s equipment is poor in many areas. It analyses the various factors underlying this, concluding that mainstreaming transformation of children&amp;#39;s community equipment services would require change in four major areas: governance, pathways, sourcing strategies and management of equipment once bought (equipment stores).&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;

	Children&amp;#39;s community equipment: proposals for funding and DH workshop&lt;/h1&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	On 1 February 2010, the Department of Health invited each strategic health authority to submit proposals for funding for innovative activities within and across PCTs to help achieve transformation of children&amp;rsquo;s community equipment and related services, taking account of the findings of a recent consultant&amp;rsquo;s report.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
