Technical support service (TSS)
- coordinates and develops business-led standards approval and adoption process on behalf of the ISB and escs system
- supports delivery of the ISB business plan
- assists the ISB with management of the wider escs stakeholder landscape.
Standards Working Groups (SWGs)
- provide the link between the business, programmes and standards development to maximise benefits
- ensure that standards support system-wide policy and that they are aligned to enable IT programmes and projects
- sponsor and accelerate adoption of standards
- ensure that end user requirements are captured and that associated benefits are realised and communicated
- inform ISB strategy and TSS engagement.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
- provide specialised knowledge in various business categories across the escs system
- participate in different Standards Working Groups (SWGs)
- are the leading expert advisory groups to the TSS in the development of the information standards.
Although the ISB must recognise and support this process of adoption in its operations, it is clear that the ISB is not responsible for the adoption of standards outside the approval activity.
