We are moving to GOV.UK and the DfE website will be closing down soon. More information.
Most of the information for schools and children’s services professionals has now moved from this website to GOV.UK. Information published by the Standards and Testing Agency (STA) and the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) will also shortly be moving to GOV.UK, but some is still hosted on www.education.gov.uk.
GOV.UK will become the single location for all online government information. It has been designed to make things simpler, clearer and faster.
All government departments, agencies and arms-length bodies are moving their websites, which will make it easier for you to find information that government publishes. GOV.UK replaced the Directgov and Business Link websites in October 2012.
You can access all our information from the Department for Education homepage on GOV.UK. You can also sign up to receive email or RSS alerts when we publish new material. All information for parents can already be found on GOV.UK, in the education and learning or having a child, parenting and adoption sections.
We have reviewed all material on the DfE website and rewritten it to make it shorter, clearer and easier to understand. We have archived content that is no longer current.
