Local Authority (LA) and Government Office Region (GOR) - Each school was allocated to it's administrative LA and GOR using the LA element of the individual schools establishment number.

Ward, Local Authority and Parliamentary Constituency - Geographic Referencing was carried out by the DfE using reference data provided by the Office for National Statistics. Each school was allocated to a 2003 Census Area Statistics (CAS) Ward, local/unitary authority and Parliamentary Constituency using its postcode.
