Certificate of School Business Management

The Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM) provides participants with the skills and expertise to perform the role of school business manager (SBM), and ultimately to improve school effectiveness.
CSBM is one of several training opportunities that we offer SBMs.
Who can apply?
You must either be an SBM or want to be an SBM, currently performing all or part of the SBM role at either senior administrator or management level.
Applicants are split into two categories, please check the eligibility for each category to see which is appropriate for you.
What’s involved?
CSBM comprises six modules, three of which are mandatory, the others are selected by you depending on your experience and learning requirements. How you complete the modules is flexible, you can complete work via online modules, facilitated online activities or face-to-face workshops – your provider will help you to decide the best route for you.
Duration
You can complete CSBM in either 12 months, 15 months or 18 months. The shorter period you choose, the more modules you will complete together.
Cost
Costs vary depending on your circumstances.
