Future Leaders

Every child has potential. Could you make a lasting difference to the lives of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds by becoming an outstanding leader for a challenging secondary school?
We’re looking for talented individuals with the potential to fast track to senior leadership in challenging secondary schools on this intensive, three-year programme.
Who can apply?
You must have the desire to lead a challenging secondary school and be Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You must also have at least two years management experience and provide evidence of making a positive impact on your school or organisation during this time. Find out more.
What's involved?
An initial training course, including 14 days of residential training; a one year residency in a secondary school under the apprencticeship of a successful urban headteacher and an in-school mentor. In most cases you will leave your current teaching role, however there is an option to stay if appropriate. Find out more.

Three years.
Cost
There is no cost to the programme, and you will be paid at your current salary for your first year of school residency.
