Children's Centre Leaders Network

The Children’s Centre Leaders Network (CCLN) is a professional learning network for all foundation years leaders. It provides the opportunity to work with other foundation years leaders to improve practice, share experience and develop expertise.

Who can join?

You should be in a leadership position within a designated Sure Start children's centre.

What's involved?

The network is a self-sustaining professional learning community, which gives members the opportunity to:

  • shape services to meet the needs of local communities
  • build leadership capability and capacity
  • contribute and respond to emerging policy for early years and childcare
  • develop effective systems to collate evidence, set priorities and measure and evaluate impact

As part of CCLN, you will have access to regional networking events and an online group (member resource). There is also a reference group, which informs the Department for Education of the needs of children's centre leaders.

How to join

There is no formal application process. If you would like to become part of the network, you can join the online group (member resource).

Cost

There's no cost to join the network. However, you will need to pay for your own travel, subsistence and supply cover costs for attendance at the sessions.
