The National Professional Qualification in Integrated Centre Leadership (NPQICL) is the first national programme to address the needs of leaders within multi-agency, early years settings.
The qualification increases your awarness of the practical challenges faced when leading an integrated setting. It gives you the opportunity to collaborate across the community and provide seamless, high-quality services for babies, children and families.
Practising leaders of children's centres who will be delivering integrated services in a setting during the year they undertake the qualification.
NPQICL incorporates face-to-face learning, online learning and collaborative reflection to develop a deeper understanding of the skills needed to lead and manage a children's centre. Participants will have the opportunity, through mentoring sessions and leadership learning group activities, to relate theories about leadership to their own practice and build on personal experiences to deepen their understanding of children's centre leadership.
The programme takes 10 months to complete.
The National College for Teaching and Leadership funds participants' fees for NPQICL. Participants or their centres will need to cover travel, subsistence and supply costs unless they are required to study outside of their government region.
Registration for our Children's Centre Leaders Network (CCLN) summer events is now open. Take the opportunity to network with peers, share best practice and discuss current issues.
