Key Stage 3, for many pupils, is the first three years of secondary school, when they are between the ages of 11 and 14 (i.e. years 7, 8 and 9). This period in a child’s education is crucial to their future attainment. Evidence shows that if children do well at Key Stage 3, they significantly increase their chances of doing well at GCSE and beyond.
