General article http://www.education.gov.uk/a00199843/collections-schedule 2013-05-17T14:36:44 Summary of data collections 2013-14 Summary of data collections 2013-14 A comprehensive list of the Department's data collections over 12 months. <![CDATA[<p> The schedule on this page, includes data collections and surveys carried out by the Department and a number of our partner organisations. It covers a rolling 12-month period and will be updated regularly.</p> <h1> Details of information provided</h1> <p> The schedule consists of two parts - the list by month, and an alphabetical list.</p> <p> The list by month consists of a simple grid showing which data collections occur in each month. </p> <p> The alphabetical list shows more detailed information on each survey as follows:</p> <ul> <li> Survey name.</li> <li> Whether the collection is mandatory or optional.</li> <li> The month the survey must be returned.</li> <li> The organisation sponsoring the collection.</li> <li> Sample size – for example, a census is a collection required from 100 per cent of schools or local authorities (LAs), sample surveys go to smaller subsets.</li> <li> Collection frequency – for example, annual, termly etc, 'ad hoc' is used for those with irregular patterns.</li> <li> Survey target – for example, where LAs fill in parts of the Early Years (EY) census about EY settings rather than the LA, then the survey target is the EY setting.</li> <li> Data supplier – the body returning the survey forms.</li> <li> Mandatory basis – only applies to mandatory surveys.</li> </ul> <h1> Feedback</h1> <p> This content is aimed at assisting schools and LAs. We have provided a contact address below to submit any comments you may have, to assist us in meeting your needs.<span style="display: none"> </span></p> ]]> false Leadership team Local authority Support staff Education and training professionals Department for Education English Debbie Barrigan Deborah.BARRIGAN@education.gsi.gov.uk
