DCSF: Safeguarding Children from Emotional Abuse - What Works? Research Information
| Description | The objective of the review was to identify studies that evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in the secondary prevention and treatment of child emotional abuse involving the parents or primary carers of children aged 0-19 years. A broad search strategy was developed to identify as many relevant studies as possible. Studies were included if they involved an intervention directed at emotionally abusive parenting and measured outcomes. A total of 21 studies met all criteria and 43 relevant studies were included. Studies were organised according to the focus of the intervention. | |
