GCE/VCE A/AS Examination Results for Young People in England 2001/2002 (Provisional)

Description	This will be the first time that GCE/VCE A/AS data have been published. Due to the uncertainties over the quality of the data that were raised in the summer 2002 and the subsequent Tomlinson inquiry, it was decided not to publish GCE A/AS level data until the re-grades had been taken on board and the relevant schools and colleges had checked the information. The information in this First Release is based on the data which underpins the post-16 performance tables - Please note that this publication was incorrectly published as scheduled for release on 3 April 2003. Final figures for 2001/02 have been added as Additional Tables. The results in these tables update the figures on SFR 07/2003, taking account of any amendments notified by secondary schools and colleges and agreed since publication of the secondary and post-16 performance tables in April 2003.
