Secondary Schools Curriculum and Staffing Survey November 2002 (Provisional)

Description	This is a new Statistical First Release. The data were last published in December 1997 (Bulletin No 11/97) taken from a sample survey conducted in November 1996. The SFR will provide provisional analysis of the breadth of the curriculum offered by maintained secondary schools, and of the proportion of teachers that have a post A-level qualification in the subject. Final figures and further analysis are due to be published in September. Please note: Due to a lower than anticipated response to the survey, there are insufficient data to publish accurate information on staffing in the April SFR. Therefore, the April SFR will only contain curriculum information. It is the Department's intention to include staffing information in the release of final data scheduled for September 2003, when sufficient data have been secured.
