Pupil Characteristics and Class Sizes in Maintained Schools in England: January 2003 (Provisional)

DescriptionThis is an anual SFR (last published 24/04/2002) based upon information collected in the latest Annual School's Census. The SFR usually reports on average class sizes. This year the SFR is being enhanced to include information on pupil characteristics. The SFR will contain provisional estimates for the number of pupils by age, gender, free school meal eligibilty, first language, special educational needs and ethnicity. Further analyses of the data contained in this SFR will be available on this site in due course.
