GCSE/GNVQ Examination Results and Key Stage 3 to GCSE/GNVQ Value Added Measures for Young People in England, 2002/2003 (Revised)

DescriptionThis Statistical First Release published on 8 October 2003 (SFR29/2003) provides the earliest information on the overall achievements of young people in GCSE examinations and the GNVQ equivalent which was unchecked by schools. The information in this SFR is based on that collated for the 2003 secondary school performance tables and has now been checked by schools. This SFR also includes the information on KS3 to GCSE/GNVQ Value Added measures which were not published in the earlier SFR. This revised SFR also provides the revised figures for each Local Education Authority and Government Office Region. These revised figures include adjustments made for refugees (which specifically affect the LEA averages), and also for permanent exclusions. This SFR also shows the progress being made towards achieving the Departmental Targets for 16 year olds.
