Further Education and Work-Based Learning for Young People - Learner Numbers in England on 1 November 2003 ILR/SFR03

DescriptionThis Statistical First Release updates ILR/SFR01 published 31 March 2003, which showed learner numbers in LSC funded Further Education (FE) and in Work Based Learning for Young People (WBLYP) at 1 November 2002, with figures for November 2003. It will show learners by age (16-18, 19 and over), gender, area of learning, ethnicity and level. For FE learners, figures will show more detailed age breakdowns of learners by institution type and mode of attendance. For WBYPL, the SFR will give breakdowns by programme of study and will also show the number of starts. This will be the first time that figures showing the number of starts and learners on Entry to Employment (E2E) will have been published since the programme went nationwide in August 2003. [Prepared and published by the Learning and Skills Council in consultation with DFES statisticians].
