Participation in Education, Training and Employment by 16-18 Year Olds in England: 2002 and 2003

DescriptionThe publication will be an update of the Statistical Release 31/2003 published on 20 November 2003 and will contain national level participation estimates. The SFR combines information from a number of sources to provide participation rates for 16, 17, and 18 year olds in education, training and employment in England as at end 2002 and end 2003. The SFR will include figures for the three latest academic years. Historical time series will be placed on the website as soon as the quality assured revised historical population estimates become available.

Revisions and Amendments
  • There was an error identified in the linking used to produce the percentages of learners in "all schools" and "other FHE Institutions" in Tables 4a-4d of the SFR (SFR18/2004). This did not affect any total figures given, and has now been rectified with the correct figures included. Also, the total percentages of learners in work based learning (WBL) in Tables C1-C15 of the additional tables have been corrected to include those in NVQ learning.
