Further Education, Work-based Learning for Young People and Adult and Community Learning - Learner Numbers in England on 1 October 2004

DescriptionThis Statistical First Release updates figures in ILR/SFR03 published 31 March 2004, which showed learner numbers in Learning Skills Council (LSC) funded Further Education (FE) and Work Based Learning for Young People (WBLYP) at 1 November 2003, with figures for 1 October 2004. 2003 figures will be revised to show October 2003. The SFR will also show learner numbers in LSC funded Adult and Community Learning at 1 October 2003 and 1 October 2004. Figures will be disaggregated by age (16-18, 19 and over), gender, area of learning, ethnicity and level of study.For FE, the SFR will also show learner numbers on key LSC programmes (skills for Life, Full level 2 and Full level 3). For WBLYP, the SFR will show a breakdown by programme of study for number in learning and for starts.
