Pupil Absence in Schools in England: 2004/2005 (Revised)

Description	This Statistical First Release updates the information that was published in SFR40/2005 on 21 September 2005. It provides revised information on absence in schools in England for 2004/05 and is based on data collected from the Absences in Schools' returns. It will contain statistics of authorised, unauthorised and total absences in maintained primary and maintained secondary schools analysed by Local Authority and Government Office Regions, together with a time series by main school type for all absences, authorised and unauthorised absence. These data have now been checked by schools as part of the School and College Achievement and Attainment Tables checking exercise.
