GCE/VCE A/AS and Equivalent Examination Results in England, 2005/06 (Provisional)

Description	This Statistical First Release provides the earliest information on the overall achievements of students in GCE/VCE A/AS examinations in 2006. The publication contains provisional national level analyses by institution type, gender and subject and provisional LA level analyses by gender. The information is based on that collated for the 2006 Achievement and Attainment tables and will, for the first time, be extended to include all Level 3 qualifications approved under the Learning and Skills Act (2000). In order to do so, the statistics will now adopt the new QCA tariff for Level 3 qualifications. This information is currently being checked by schools and colleges as part of the Achievement and Attainment tables exercise.
