The Activities and Experiences of 18 Year Olds: England and Wales 2006

DescriptionThis Statistical First Release will report summary findings from 18 year old sweep of the twelfth Youth Cohort Study for England and Wales. The survey was conducted in spring 2006 in the 3rd academic year since the sample completed compulsory education. The sample was also surveyed in the previous two springs at ages 16 and 17 allowing transitions over the period to be analysed. The last SFR on 18 year olds from the YCS was published on 25 November 2004 (SFR 43/2004) and the content and coverage will be very similar - educational attainment, study, training and employment activity broken down by socio-demographic variables (such as parental qualifications, ethnicity etc) together with transitions between states across the three sweeps at 16, 17 and 18.
