GCE/VCE A/AS and Equivalent Examination Results in England, 2005/06 (Revised)
| Description | This Statistical First Release provides revised information on the overall achievements of young people in GCE/VCE A/AS examinations in 2006. This updates the Provisional SFR released in October 2006. The publication contains revised national level analyses by school type, gender and subject and revised Local Authority level analyses by gender. The information in this SFR is based on that collated for the 2006 Secondary School (A level and equivalents) Achievement and Attainment tables and has now been checked by schools. The Secondary School Achievement and Attainment Tables will be published on 11 January, the day after this SFR. UPDATED - Please note, that this SFR was revised in October 2007 as a result of the discovery of an error in the 2005/06 figures showing the percentage of candidates achieving 2 or more passes of A Level equivalent size, which affected Table 1 and the first key point in the SFR itself. This has now been corrected and amended versions of the text and tables placed on the website in place of the originals. The error occured when the 2005/06 dataset was created and meant that discounted qualifications were mistakenly included in the analysis. | ||
