DescriptionTables showing the highest qualification levels of the population aged 19-59/64 (males aged 19-64 and females aged 19-59) by local level (2001 - 2008) is available on the DataService's website.

Tables are also available for:
  • the highest qualifications held by economically active adults aged 18-59/64
  • the highest qualification held by working age population 16-59/64
  • the relationship between qualification level and rate of employment of those aged 16-59/64,
  • participation in job related training by employees


Figures are for England and are disaggregated into Government Office Regions (GOR), Local Learning and Skills Council (LSC) office areas, Learning Partnership (LP), Local Education Authority (LEA) and Local Authority District (LAD) geographies.
