Need Help Searching?
We have provided a search tool for this site to supplement those already present for: category, keyword, type and reference id. The benefit of this search is that you are free to type terms or phrases of your choice.
Like many searches there are ways to refine terms for a more specific search which this document provides some hints on.
| Search term | Meaning |
| foundation stage profile | A phrase with no quotation marks is interpreted as three single terms ranked in the order they are given, so search results could contain some or all of the terms. |
| "foundation stage profile" | Double quotes are for an exact search where the order of terms are taken literally. |
| performance AND tables | AND is used to include both terms in the search results |
| performance OR tables | OR is used to include either term |
| performance NOT tables | Would search for results that contain performance but exclude those that contain tables |
| performance -tables | Would search for results that contain performance but exclude those that contain tables |
| ks2 +achievement | If a term must appear in each search result put a plus in front of it. In this case ks2 is an optional term but achievement must be returned |
| 'edit' | Single quotes allow for phrase searches or near phrase so 'edit' would return Edition, edited as well as edit. |
