The illustrative pupil premium allocation tables for the 2013 to 2014 financial year are now available.
The illustrative figures are calculated using the higher pupil premium level of funding for 2013 to 2014 of £900 per pupil. The service premium level of funding will also rise in 2013 to 2014 to £300 per pupil.
The illustrative figures use the January 2012 school census data and looked after children numbers from the March 2012 SSDA903 return. Final allocations for 2013 to 2014 using 2013 pupil data will be published next summer.
The below documents display the illustrative allocation figures for 2013 to 2014 at national, local authority, parliamentary constituency and school level.
The pupil premium conditions of grant, pupil number guidance and question and answer document provide additional information on the premium including details of how it is calculated.
From April 2013, the department will manage a national CLA Schools Licence for all state maintained schools in England. Schools need this licence in order to copy materials from books, magazines and websites legally. In addition, the deal will also include a new licence from the Music Publishers Association to cover copying of items such as printed sheet music. Details of how the scheme will operate and what the licences cover can be found below.
The Educational Recording Agency (ERA) has had a number of queries from its contacts regarding the ERA Licensing arrangements for the year commencing 1 April 2013.
The Department of Education and the Copyright Licensing Agency have agreed a 3-year deal in relation to the print based 'CLA Schools Licence' and the 'Schools Printed Music Licence' published by the CLA (for the benefit of relevant schools within England only).
Details of these licences can be found on the website: www.era.org.uk
If you have any questions about the scope of the licences, please contact ERA using the contact details provided.
