An updated version of the EYFS eProfile programme (version 3.3) is now available to download from the eProfile link on this page.
When accessing the eProfile website please check you are viewing the most recent page rather than a stored or cached version.
The eProfile provides an electronic means of building a record of assessment outcomes throughout the reception year to support the making of final judgements for EYFS profile.
Users are strongly advised to download the new version of eProfile. Data held in versions 3.1 and 3.2 will be compatible with the new version 3.3. Data in version 3.0 will also upgrade. Users should remember that assessments entered in specific half terms will be converted to months. Users should always make a backup of their current and past work to an external device before upgrading.
Developments include:
- Year 1 continuation mode. This enables the software to be used by year 1 teachers as a means of updating the assessment picture for children who continue to be assessed in relation to EYFS profile into year 1. Full details and guidance are provided in the guidance manual.
- Improvements to printouts, including choice of month in two printouts and an option to print the scale's item text.
- More details in the Help>About screen for helpdesk and technical support teams. The information can be copied and pasted to a word processor or an email message.
- Updating of the export file to CTF 11.
- A number of minor improvements, including some in response to queries raised by users.
Helpdesk support is available to local authorities and individual users of eProfile.

eProfile development and support from September 2012
A revised EYFS framework and EYFS Profile statutory assessment will be in place from 1 September 2012. As the statutory assessment process will differ significantly from that currently in place, the Department will not commission further development of and support for the eProfile data collection tool beyond this date.
Existing users should continue to use eProfile for the current cohort. Data entered for the current and previous cohorts will remain accessible within the software after September 2012.
