The core standards, contained within the professional framework, came into force on 1 September 2007 and replaced the 2003 induction standards. All NQTs are assessed against the core standards.
From 1 September 2012, the core standards will be replaced by the new Teachers’ Standards, which can be downloaded from this page.
Assessment forms (September 2008)
For each assessment, the induction tutor completes the form and the headteacher/principal keeps a copy and sends a copy to the appropriate body within ten days of the NQT completing the assessment period. The original should be retained by the NQT.
Note that these forms may be amended/added to by appropriate bodies for use within their institutions but none of the original fields should be removed or altered.
