Welcome to the National Training Programme for New Governors. The programme has been prepared to help governor trainers in LAs and diocesan boards ensure new governors have the information they need to become effective school governors.
The training programme workbook for governors can be downloaded from this page. It includes independent study activities.
Although the workbook and trainers' toolkit were updated in November 2005, the video and CD-ROM that accompany the training programme remain the same and have not been amended in any way. You can order the video or CD-ROM from the Department by email.
