It follows a code of conduct designed to minimise stress on schools, for example, by not making unreasonable demands for paperwork and by behaving with courtesy, respect and sensitivity at all times. It will involve schools in the inspection process from the outset, including discussion on appropriate dates and arrangements for the inspection visit. It endeavours to keep senior leaders aware of emerging findings through regular feedback and by encouraging them to join the meetings of the inspection team, where, also, they can make a positive contribution to the inspection process. This collaborative approach will further help schools in understanding the requirements needed to be an approved British school overseas.
The director of the inspectorate is Helena McVeigh, a former HMI, who has considerable experience of setting up and managing inspection teams and systems in a number of countries. Their inspectorate board, which oversees the work of the inspectorate, includes Sir Mike Tomlinson, formerly Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector with the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) in England.
The company has the expertise to inspect Early Years, primary, secondary and sixth-form phases, including the IB. G2G Education can inspect schools in any country, though it has particular inspection and education experience in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East, the Caribbean, the United States of America, Nigeria, Europe and Turkey.
