Further approved Free School applications where the funding agreement has been signed will be listed in due course.

Wave 2

On 10 October 2011, the Secretary of State announced the successful applications to open a mainstream Free School in 2012 and beyond that have been approved to pre-opening stage. On 14 November 2011, the Secretary of State announced the successful applications to open a special or alternative provision Free School in 2012 and beyond that have been approved to pre-opening stage. Further details can be found in the press notice, and in the written record in Hansard.
