What is the aim or purpose of the Premium for service children? Is it to improve their progress and attainment?

In the main, service children achieve very well at school. However, schools have reported that there are additional needs relating to service children’s emotional and social well-being. In the past, support often had to be accommodated from within their existing budgets. Schools will be able to use the Service Premium to fund this support, if they feel that is appropriate.
