	This video is part of the support package&amp;nbsp;published by the Standards and Testing Agency (STA)&amp;nbsp;to help teachers administer the check.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	Feedback&amp;nbsp; from the pilot suggested that training on the scoring rules is essential for teachers administering the check to score consistently. It is therefore strongly recommended that all teachers who will be administering the check watch this video.&lt;span style="display: none"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	Other guidance material available&amp;nbsp;includes &lt;em&gt;Sample material&lt;/em&gt;, a&amp;nbsp;&lt;em&gt;Check Administrators&amp;#39; Guide&lt;/em&gt; (CAG), &lt;em&gt;Assessment and reporting arrangements&lt;/em&gt; (ARA) and the &lt;em&gt;Assessment framework&lt;/em&gt;, all of which can be downloaded from the associated resources section on this page.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	The &lt;em&gt;Sample material&lt;/em&gt; contains information on the structure and content of the phonics screening check. It contains practice words and shows how the pseudo-words in the check will be illustrated with pictures of imaginary creatures.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	The CAG contains important information about what to do before, during and after the check.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	The ARA sets out the statutory assessment and reporting arrangements for the check, including administration, access arrangements and moderation.&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
	The &lt;em&gt;Assessment framework&lt;/em&gt; sets out the specification for the development of the phonics screening check for 2012 and beyond.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;p&gt;&#xD;
