As part of our commitment to clarifying the activities schools are required to undertake, myths and facts information has been published to address a number of common misconceptions. This provides factual information on changes happening during the 2013 to 2014 academic year.
The myths included in the following pages are based upon common questions received in letters to the department and feedback from school practitioners. They cover a wide range of areas including: curriculum and assessment; health and safety; inspection; school trips; and staffing.
