Information for academies
It was good to meet and talk to so many people at the Academies Show at Olympia in London on 16 May 2012. More than 2,000 delegates from academies and those considering converting to academy status attended.
As part of the conference programme, our Chief Executive Peter Lauener gave a keynote speech on the Challenges and Priorities for 2012 Onwards while Russell Andrews, Director of Technology and Planning, delivered a session on capital spending and the role of technology.
We led seminars on Financial Management and Governance Evaluation (FMGE), and Academies Budgets, and contributed to Department-led sessions on academy admissions and funding reform.
More than 600 delegates visited our stand at the show, at which our advisers were able to help with a range of queries about funding, budgeting, governance and assurance.
We are looking forward to the next Academies Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 28 November.
