Jill Pullen began her teaching career as an infant teacher. She then took up the role of a headteacher of a large primary school in East London.

Whilst headteacher, she was also the responsible officer for a school based teacher training centre and a non-executive director of the National College of School Leaders.

Following her retirement from teaching, Jill worked in the National Health Service (NHS) where she is currently Vice Chair of the Outer North East London NHS, as well as continuing her links with education.

Jill has chaired admission appeals panels for local authorities, is the Chair of an Interim Executive Board of a primary school, and is a member of the School Teacher Pay Review Body. She also sits as a lay member on employment tribunals.
