Consultation on Draft ContactPoint Guidance - Government Response and Statistical Summary
The draft ContactPoint Guidance Consultation ran from 4 May 2007 until 27 July 2007.
There were 221 formal responses to the consultation. Of these, 36% came from local authorities or local authority staff, 30% from children and young people and parents/carers and 9% from the voluntary and community sector.
In addition to the formal responses to the consultation, we ran a series of three regional workshops with over 300 local authorities, local delivery partners and practitioners from across the children’s workforce. We also held a series of bi-lateral sector-based meetings with representatives from 38 organisations that work with or represent children and families including health, social care, police and youth justice, and voluntary and community organisations. We also met with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Independent Schools Council and the Children And Families’ Court Advisory and Support Service - CAFCASS.
The Government Response reports the outcome of the consultation. The statistical report contains an analysis of responses and respondents’ comments.
